14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
There is a lot in this passage that was previously discussed. Revelation 20:14-15 was discussed in Goat’s Destruction. In that parable, Lake of Fire and other pages, it was discussed that the Lake of Fire symbolizes second death or destruction. A long discussion should not be required to discover the meaning of this symbol. A believer should understand this from John 3:16.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
In this well known verse, Yeshua juxtaposes eternal life with destruction. It is either life eternal or destruction. It will be as if the individual never existed. This is consistent through out the New Testament. As in 1 Corinthians 1:18.
18For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
It is always eternal life or destruction. It is unfortunate that many have been lead astray with the teaching that scriptures are complex. Paul warned believers in 2 Corinthians 11:3 long ago.
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Messiah.
Unfortunately, many have been lead down the path of confusion. Scriptures will open up to any believer that chooses to follow the spirit and word in fullness.
In the millennium, a nonbeliever who does not live in accordance with the Bible will not be found in the Bible. As a result, they will cease to exist as believers cross into eternity. This is because either one has eternal life or they experience second death, destruction. Yeshua clarified in Matthew 10:28.
28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
