23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
The city, itself, New Jerusalem, is the bride. It did not need the sun, Messiah or the moon, the law. The Bride itself is equated to the righteous individual of the Bible, 1 Timothy 1:8-9.
8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; 9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
The Law is not made for a righteous man, because the righteous man by his nature is obedient to the law. It is part of the New Covenant, Jeremiah 31:31-33.
31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord: 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
In the New Covenant, God puts the law in the heart of the believer. It becomes the desire of all believers to fulfill the law in word and spirit. Those in the Bride go beyond most believer. God and the law becomes their very nature, Hebrews 8:10.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
In the Millennium, several things will be different as foretold in Revelation 21:24.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
In the Millennium, the nations, those not saved will walk in the light of it. It is referring to the city New Jerusalem, the Bride. In the millennium, it is the Bride that teaches. Salvation for the Nations will be coming through the Bride. The Bride will be the light for so many. It is not that they are granting salvation, it is because they are the instrument that God will work through. They have proven their worthiness to bring the gospel of peace in love. This is what will bring the real fulfillment of Genesis 12:3.
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Abraham who is the father of our faith, brought forth those whose faith in this lifetime will bring forth the blessing in the millennium.
