Is it true that many Messianic Christians believe that the Hebrew Law is for today?

The real question should be, what did Yeshua (Jesus) tell us?

Yeshua stated in Matthew 5:19.

¹⁹ Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

It seems that Yeshua is telling us that if we break the Law and teach others not to keep the Law, we will be least in the kingdom of heaven.

So not keeping the Law does not sound like it is God’s best.

Additionally, Yeshua tells us if we keep the Law and teach others to keep the Law, we will be great (not the greatest, because He is the greatest).

This one verse seems to be enough reason to keep the Law.

Some believe this statement from Yeshua was only meant for the Jews. However, this belief is not based on Scripture.

Or some believe that Yeshua followed the Law, but Paul clarified that the Law is no longer for today. If that is true, who do you follow: Yeshua or Paul?

But also consider what Paul stated in 1 Corinthians 11:1.

¹Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Messiah.

It seems that Paul will tell one to follow Messiah Yeshua first.
