Devarim 33 (Deuteronomy 33)
Devarim 33, Moshe is looking into the future to see the end state of the Children of Yisrael. This includes both physical and spiritual Yisrael as they flow together into the perfect state of Yeshurun. This occurs after the return of Messiah and during His Millennial Reign. Yisrael and those that rise in the Restitution of All Things are transformed during Millennium. Yehovah will circumcises the hearts of many. Through the Bride, Messiah will raise up those worthy to cross into Eternity. During this time period, there are a number of things happening that are described throughout Scriptures. Devarim 33 is the culmination of these events. It is the future so many of us are looking forward to and it is just around the corner.
Yehovah is used 8 times in Devarim 33 in 29 verses.

Moshe Completed Torah
Moshe Completed Torah
Devarim 33:1
1 And this the blessing, wherewith Moshe the man of the Redeemer blessed the Children of Yisrael before his death.
This is Moshe’s final words to the Children of Yisrael. These are the words that Yehovah gave to Moshe before he ascends Avarim, Devarim 32:49-50.
49 Get you up into this mountain Avarim, Mount Nevo, which in the land of Moav, that over against Yericho; and behold the land of Kenaan, which I give to the Children of Yisrael for a possession. 50 And die in the mount whither you go up, and be gathered to your people; as Aharon your brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered to his people.
This will be the final words from Moshe to the Children of Yisrael. These words will be the conclusion of Torah. He will describe the future fulfillment of Yeshurun prior to entering into Eternity.
Yeshurun refers to Yisrael in the perfect state. It is an upright, Torah observant people. A people that uphold justice and pursue after Yehovah in a perfect state.
In Devarim 31:24-26, Moshe completed the writing of Torah. He gave it to the Levites to keep in the side of the Ark.
24 And it came to pass, when Moshe had made an end of writing the words of this Torah a scroll (sefer), until they were finished, 25 that Moshe commanded the Levites, which bare the Ark of the Covenant of Yehovah, saying, 26 Take this scroll (sefer) of the Torah and put it in the side of the Ark of the Covenant of Yehovah your Redeemer, that it may be there for a witness against you.
Although Moshe finished the Torah in Devarim 31, there is no reason to believe that Moshe had not recorded all the words of Torah. Yehovah being who He is could have easily dictated the entire Torah to Moshe before it happened. As such, Torah was completely recorded by Moshe.
Understanding Devarim 33
Understanding Devarim 33
When examining Devarim 33 a few things should be established. First of all, Moshe is looking forward into the future. He is seeing something few of us have seen. He is getting a glimpse into the end of time, the conclusion of the matter. The matter being mankind and their end state.
When Moshe died approximately 2500 years from Adam or 1500 B.C., there was still another 4500 years to go before we reached Eternity. In the first 2500 years, mankind had proven themselves to be unworthy of Yehovah’s devotion and judgments. This trend would only get worse in the next 4500 years unless something changed.
Yehovah is giving Moshe a glimpse of the future and how Yehovah will bring it together. Moshe who recorded Torah understood things that many of us hardly even know of today.
Moshe knew what Yehovah had instore for mankind. Yehovah was showing Moshe the end product of Yeshurun. What is discussed in Devarim 33 are not prophecies of the tribes, it is prophecies of the overall Redemption of Mankind. It is what will occur in the years to come to enable the formation of the people who will enter into Eternity.
Devarim 33 will use 11 of the 12 Tribes to discuss the future. The exception is Shimon. Shimon means heard or to hear intelligently. Today, we hear of God and we believe in faith, 2 Corinthians 5:7.
7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
We are not saved because of anything that can positively be proven or seen. We are saved because of our faith in the Truth that God delivers to us. In the future, it will be different. All will be able to see God, Revelation 1:7.
7 Behold, He comes with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they which pierced Him. And all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.
Not only will we be able to see Him, we will all know of Him. The mystery of godliness will no longer be a mystery. It will be clear who is Yehovah and what He desires of us. As such, it will no longer be just what we hear in faith, it will be what we are able to see intelligently. We will know and understand the truth of what occurred during the last 6000 years. It has always been God’s desire to fulfill 1 Timothy 2:3-4.
3 For this good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge (epignosis) of the truth.
In the future, exact knowledge of God and His purposes will come to light. At this time, people will be able to make an intelligent decision.
It is during this time that God will regenerate the earth back to its intended condition, Bereishis 1:31.
31 And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Then we will see the total fulfillment of Scriptures.
Torah the Fiery Decree
Torah the Fiery Decree
Devarim 33:2
2 And he said, Yehovah came from Sinay, and rose up from Seir to them; He shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with myriad (revavah) of saints. From His right hand a fiery decree (eshdas) for them.
Myriad (formerly ten thousands) comes from the Hebrew word רְבָבָה revavah (H7233). It is in the Bible 16 times. רְבָבָה revavah (H7233) is translated ten thousand 13 times, million 1 time, many 1 time and multiply 1 time. It refers to an abundance, a myriad. It comes from רָבַב ravav (H7231). רָבַב ravav (H7231) means to become many or multiply.
Fiery decree (formerly fiery law) comes from the Hebrew word אֶשְׁדָּת eshdas (H0799). It is in the Bible 1 time. It is a compound of אֵש esh (H0784) and 1881. דָּת das (H1881).
אֵש esh (H0784) is in the Bible 379 times. It is translated fire 373 times, burning 1 time, fiery 1 time, untranslated variant 1 time, fire + אֶשָּׁה eshshah (H0800) 1 time, flaming 1 time and hot 1 time. It refers to a fire either literally or figuratively.
דָּת das (H1881) is in the Bible 21 times. It refers to a decree.
In Devarim 33:2, fiery law is a fiery decree. This is the whole of Torah. In the Millenium, Torah will be the iron rule of Revelation 19:15.
15 And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations. And He shall rule them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Torah will be the rule of the land. The boundaries of Torah will not be as flexible as some assume today. We will operate within these boundaries or we may experience the Baptism of Fire more often. Either way, we will all realize that we have fallen short of His glory, Malakhi 3:2-3.
2 But who may abide the day of His coming? And who shall stand when He appears? For He like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap. 3 And He shall sit a refiner and purifier of silver. And He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to Yehovah a grain offering (minchah) in righteousness.
In the future, Torah will either cleanse us or consume us in the fires of the Altar. All will go through these fires in the Millennium. Depending on one’s outcome, their final destination will be determined.
Moshe is alluding to a future when Yehovah comes with His saints, the Bride. Those who were determined worthy in Revelation 19:7-8.
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him. For the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife has made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white. For the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
These will be the ones that will be implementing the Restitution of All Things in the Millennium.
Yehovah comes from Mount Sinay with His Torah. He rose above Sier. Just as it was prophesied in Bereishis 25:23.
23 And Yehovah said to her, Two nations (goy) in your womb, and two peoples (leom) shall be separated from your womb (meah); and people (leom) shall be stronger than people (leom); and the multitude (rav) shall serve the younger.
The nation at Sinay was to reign over the nation of Sier and every other nation outside the covenant.
Paran is the place of caverns. The light of Yehovah will shine into a dark place as in 2 Corinthians 4:4-7.
4 In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Messiah, who is the image of God, should shine to them. 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Messiah Yeshua the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Yeshua’s sake. 6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Yeshua Messiah. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
When Yeshua returns, the light of Yehovah will shine through those in the Bride into the formerly dark places of the world. Through these actions, Yehovah will bring forth Torah in its brilliance of light to all nations.
After all the sins and rebellion of the last 6000 years, one has to wonder why would Yehovah take this extra step with us?
Yehovah Loves His People
Yehovah Loves His People
Devarim 33:3
3 Yes (af), He loved the people; all his saints in Your hand. And they sat down at your feet; shall receive of Your words.
Yehovah goes this extra step, because He loves us. And because He does what He required of us, Mikha 6:7.
8 He has showed you, man (adam), what is good; and what does Yehovah inquire (darash) of you, but to do judgment (mishpat), and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your Redeemer?
Yehovah is showing us what is good, Torah. He will inquire of us after He has shown the proper judgment and mercy. Something we should be showing others. He intends that all will know His love and compassion when He returns. Then we can choose to walk humbly as He has or we can leave.
At that time, we will know the word. It will be taught by those who have lived the word. Hypocrisy will be stopped and deception will no longer be spread. Yehovah intends to bind the deceiver, Revelation 20:3.
3 And cast him (Satan) into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years should be fulfilled. And after that he must be loosed a little season.
During the Millennial Reign of Messiah, people will no longer be deceived by false worship and governments. There will be one rule and one Spirit.
Devarim 33:4
4 Moshe commanded us Torah, the possession (morashah) of the congregation of Yaaqov.
Then we will understand that Torah is our possession. It is something we should cherish and protect. Life is derived from Torah.
When we find ourselves lost and without hope, Torah is always the answer. We are to use it to find our way back to Yehovah. It is the gateway for those that have yet to become part of Spiritual Yisrael. In the future, many will understand why Galatians 3:24, Torah is our schoolmaster.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to Messiah, that we might be justified by faith.
Without Torah, one cannot be justified by faith. Torah is the Truth that we need to understand. Without Torah there is no path back to our Creator. Our life with Him starts when we walk the road of righteousness. He has patiently awaited our return. Just as the father awaits the return of the prodigal son in Luke 15:20.
20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
This will happen when we understand Luke 15:21.
21 And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight, and am no more worthy to be called your son.
For us to return, we must come to the end of ourselves. We must realize that we are unworthy. Torah will lead us to complete reconciliation with the Father. Our only worth comes when we walk in His ways and return to Him, 1 Peter 2:25.
25 For you were as sheep going astray; but are now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
We are nothing without Him. Without His love, we have nothing. When we truly return with all our heart and soul, we will see Luke 15:22-24 in our lives.
22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on feet. 23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill; and let us eat, and be merry. 24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
His love will overwhelm us and our lives will return to us.
Devarim 33:5
5 And He was king in Yeshurun, when the heads of the people the tribes of Yisrael were gathered together.
He will be King in Yeshurun, because we will reach the state we should have from the beginning. Throughout the Millennium, we will be transformed through His love. We will be an upright, Torah observant people. A people that upholds justice and pursues after Yehovah in a perfect state. Then we will live as one family from one Father in love.
Behold the Son
Behold the Son
Devarim 33:6
6 Let Reuben live, and not die; and his men be numbered (mispar).
Numbered (formerly few) comes from the Hebrew word מִסְפָּר mispar (H4557). It is in the Bible 134 times. מִסְפָּר mispar (H4557) is translated number 110 times, few 6 times, all 3 times, innumerable 3 times, sum 2 times, time 2 times, account 1 time, abundance + אַיִן ayin (H0369) 1 time, infinite 1 time, innumerable + אַיִן ayin (H0369) 1 time, numbered 1 time, tale 1 time, telling 1 time and 1 miscellaneous word. מִסְפָּר mispar (H4557) refers to a number, definite or indefinite.
Reuven means behold a son. In the future, all will be able to behold Yeshua Messiah. All will be able to see Him on the throne, Tehilla 110:2-3.
2 Yehovah shall send the tribe (matteh) of Your strength out of Tziyyon. Rule you in the midst of your enemies. 3 Your people willing in the day of Your power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning. You have the dew of Your youth.
In the day of His power is the second coming. This is when many willingly bow the knee to Messiah. In that day, the numbers will flourish. We will see the fulfillment of Bereishis 32:12.
12 And you said, I will surely do you good, and make your seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.
In the future, those willing will be innumerable.
Praise with Holy Hands
Praise with Holy Hands
Devarim 33:7
7 And this of Yehudah. And he said, hear, Yehovah, the voice of Yehudah, and bring him to his people. Let his hands be sufficient for him; and be You a help to from his enemies.
Yehudah means praise with outstretched arms. In the future, it will be an innumerable number who will praise Yehovah with outstretched arms. They will be reaching to the only one who can save them. In that day, Yehovah will inhabit their praises, Tehilla 22:3.
3 But You holy, that inhabits the praises of Yisrael.
It will be a day of great joy, when so many discover the power of praise to Yehovah. They will be filled joy and exaltation. It is the day when many will fulfill 1 Timothy 2:8 in one accord.
8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
No longer will it be inconsequential difference. We will see the fulfillment of Ephesians 4:2-6.
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 One body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who above all, and through all, and in you all.
It will be a time when we will all be brothers in unity and love. There will be no doubt who Yehovah is, when the mystery of godliness is revealed.
Joined to Yehovah
Joined to Yehovah
Devarim 33:8
8 And of Levi he said, your Tummiym and your Urim with your holy one, whom You did prove at Massah, whom you did strive at the waters of Meribah;
This is probably one of the more important sections of Devarim 33. These are the ones joined directly to Yehovah. These are the ones that will rule and reign with Messiah. These are the ones that will have more access to the Throne Room of Grace. There is no partiality as to who these people are. They are the ones that separated themselves to Yehovah and took up their cross unfailingly.
Levi means joined to, to unite and to remain. These are the ones that strive to be one with Yehovah. They are the closest to Him. These are the ones that were consistently pursuing Yehovah in this lifetime. They gave themselves over to serve the purposes and will of Yehovah.
Tummiym (formerly thummim) comes from the Hebrew word תֻּמִּים Tummiym (H8550). It is in the Bible 5 times and should always be rendered Tummiym. It means perfection.
Urim comes from the Hebrew word אוּרִים Uriym (H0224). It is in the Bible 7 times and should always be rendered Uriym. It means lights.
Tummiym and Urim stones were kept in a pouch of the High Priest’s breastplate. They were used to determine God’s will in certain questions and issues. These stones provided the complete Truth and Light of Yehovah. These were to only be used by the Priests. They were part of the High Priest’s garments.
Today, we can have the perfected light of God, but we must come through two tests, Massah and Merivah. Massah and Merivah are first mentioned in Shemos 17:7.
7 And He called the name of the place Massa, and Merivah, because of the chiding of the Children of Yisrael, and because they tempted Yehovah, saying, Is Yehovah among us, or not?
This is when the Children of Yisrael arrived in Refidim and there was no water to drink. The Children of Yisrael chided with Moshe, Shemos 17:2-3.
2 Wherefore the people did chide with Moshe, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moshe said to them, Why chide you with me? Wherefore do you tempt Yehovah? 3 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moshe, and said, Wherefore this you have brought us up out of Mitzrayim, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?
Moshe cries out to Yehovah, who provides the solution in Shemos 17:5-6.
5 And Yehovah said to Moshe, Go on before the people, and take with you of the elders (zaqen) of Yisrael; and your rod (matteh), wherewith you smote the river, take in your hand, and go. 6 Behold, I will stand before you there upon the rock (tzur) in Chorev; and you shall smite the rock (tzur), and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moshe did so in the sight of the elders of Yisrael.
There are two things we need to learn from this. First, we need to be consistent if we are to be joined to Yehovah. Massah reminds us not to test Yehovah in any way. Yehovah has nothing to prove to us, we have everything to prove to Him. We should be satisfied that He knows what we need, Matityahu 6:7-8.
7 But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen. For they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not therefore like to them. For your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask Him.
Yehovah has our needs firm in mind. He will always ensure we have sufficiency, we need to be a little patient and sometime a lot more patient. He certainly has been patient with us.
Secondly Merivah, we should not strive with Yehovah. This includes not striving with those that Yehovah has placed over us. We should work with those He has placed over us with the resources available to bring about the best outcome possible. We should neither strive nor provoke anyone. Again we need to be patient and longsuffering.
We need to be a humble servant of Yehovah if we are to fulfill Romans 8:28.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to purpose.
Because it is not about us. It is about serving Yehovah and His body as directed.
Devarim 33:9
9 Who said to his father and to his mother, I have not seen Him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children. For they have observed Your word, and kept Your covenant.
Those who are joined to Yehovah have unwavering faith. They have placed Yehovah above all family ties. This also includes all people. Those who are joined to Yehovah live Matityahu 10:36-40.
36 And a man’s foes they of his own household. 37 He that loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he that loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he that takes not his cross, and follows after Me, is not worthy of Me. 39 He that finds his life shall lose it. And he that loses his life for My sake shall find it.
Those who are joined to Yeshua are willing to separate from family if necessary. They are willing to take up the sword of the Word and rightly divide the word. They are willing to do this in the face of the majority and adversity. They have taken up the cross and their lives are no longer theirs.
Serving the Most High
Serving the Most High
Devarim 33:10
10 They shall teach Yaaqov your judgments, and Yisrael Your Torah. They shall put incense before You, and whole burnt sacrifice upon Your Altar.
Those who are joined to Yehovah will be the ones that will teach the judgments and Torah in the Millennium. They will be the skilled teachers of 2 Timothy 2:24-26.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle to all, skillful in teaching, patient, 25 in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging (epignosis) of the truth; 26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
These will be able to help others recover their lives through proper and exact teachings. These are the ones that have a special dispensation for teaching. These will deliver many from their carnal and selfish ways. They will bring many to the feet of Yehovah through God’s ways.
The incense they bring is their prayers, Revelation 8:4.
4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the messenger’s (aggelos) hand.
These prayers are answered by God. Because they are in the will of Yehovah, 1 Yochanan 5:14-15.
14 And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.
These have answered prayer, because they know His will and they walk in His will in righteousness, Yaaqov 5:16.
16 Confess faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Through their teachings and prayers, they will convert many from their sins and rebellion. These are the ones that painstakingly learn to do this in His Spirit in this lifetime. They became acceptable offerings of Romans 12:1 long ago.
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, your reasonable service.
These were the ones that put themselves on the altar and proved what was the perfect will of God, Romans 12:2.
2 And be not conformed to this world. But be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what that good, and acceptable, and complete (teleios), will of God.
These are ones that stand in the gap between Yehovah and His people. These are responsible for the growth of so many.
Devarim 33:11
11 Bless, Yehovah, his substance, and accept the work of his hands. Smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.
Substance is the Hebrew word חַיִל chayil (H2428). It is in the Bible 243 times. It refers to a force, whether of men, means or other resources. It is translated army 56 times, man of valor 37 times, host 29 times, forces 14 times, valiant 13 times, strength 12 times, riches 11 times, wealth 10 times, power 9 times, substance 8 times, might 6 times, strong 5 times and 33 miscellaneous words. When one is considering a Hebrew word such as חַיִל chayil (H2428), it comes down to the individual’s personal understanding when translating these words.
In Devarim 33:11, this refers to an individual that is part of an army, Yehovah’s army. These individuals are assembled by Yehovah as necessary to affect the outcome of a situation. These are righteous individuals that are sent out who can be trusted to do as instructed. This includes warfare, rulership and judgment. These individuals do not have partiality, but show the compassion and mercy one would expect to find in Yehovah himself.
Those that make up Yehovah’s army are the ones that will oversee and often implement the plans of Yehovah for mankind. They are the ones that will be the judges and counselors in Yeshayahu 1:26.
26 And I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called, the city of righteousness, the faithful city.
They are the ones that will put down the final rebellion and eliminate the enemies of Yehovah before we enter into Eternity.
Son of the Right Hand
Son of the Right Hand
Devarim 33:12
12 Of Binyamin he said, the beloved of Yehovah shall dwell in safety (betach) by Him; shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.
Binyamin means son of the right hand. In the future, all will bow the knee, Philippians 2:10-11.
10 That at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow, of in heaven, and in earth, and under the earth; 11 and every tongue should confess that Yeshua Messiah Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
If they do not bow their knee and confess, then they will cease to exist. In the future, all will be sons of God through the right hand of Yehovah. They will cleave to Yehovah as in Devarim 30:20.
20 That you may love Yehovah your Redeemer, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cleave (davaq) to Him. For He your life, and the length of your days. That you may dwell in the land which Yehovah swore to your fathers, to Avraham, to Yitzchaq, and to Yaaqov, to give them.
When we are all sons, we will dwell in harmony and peace. We will rest between His shoulders. This is where we receive protection and compassion. He will carry us.
Yehovah Has Added
Yehovah Has Added
Devarim 33:13
13 And of Yosef he said, Blessed of Yehovah his land, for the precious (meged) of heaven, for the dew (tal), and for the deep that couches beneath,
Yosef means Yehovah has added.
Today there are many who profess to be believers, but few may actually be possessing. Salvation may not be as easily obtainable today as many assume. Either way, come the Millennium, the numbers will significantly increase. This is when we will see the fulfillment of Bereishis 22:16-18.
16 And said, By myself have I sworn, says Yehovah, for because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only (yachiyd). 17 That in blessing I will bless you and in multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which upon the sea shore; and your seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 18 and in your seed shall all the nations of the land be blessed; because you have obeyed My voice.
In the future, we will see an increase in the numbers of loyal believers. It will not just be those of today. Yeshua will reach back to the beginning of time in the Restitution of All Things. Then we will see that Yehovah has added to the body of believers. In that day, we will see the completion of the body, Yochanan 2:19.
19 Yeshua answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
3000 years from the beginning of Yeshua’s ministry, the body will be completed.
Not only in numbers will Yehovah add, He will add blessings to His people. From Heaven the dew will fall. Dew comes from the Hebrew word טַל tal (H2919). Many times טַל tal (H2919) indicates a move by God that produces a supernatural result.
When we choose God’s ways, we see the power of God flowing through our lives in many ways. We can see this in the things we do, moves of the Holy Spirit and even the understanding of Scriptures. It also causes fruit to be produced in our lives and the lives of those around us. In the future, these blessings will reach down to those in lowest levels of society.
Devarim 33:14-15
14 And for the precious (meged) fruits by the sun, and for the precious (meged) things put forth by the moon, 15 and for the head (rosh) of the east (qedem) mountains, and for the precious (meged) of the lasting hills,
Precious comes from the Hebrew word מֶגֶד meged (H4022). It is in the Bible 8 times. מֶגֶד meged (H4022) is translated precious things 4 times, pleasant 3 times and precious fruit 1 time. It is used 5 times in Devarim 33, 2 times in Shir Hashirim (Song of Songs) 4 and 1 time in Shir Hashirim 7. It is something valuable, as a product or fruit. מֶגֶד meged (H4022) should be rendered precious.
Blessings from Yehovah will be overflowing to His people Yisrael. These blessings come from the Sun, directly from Yehovah. Then there are the blessings from the moon. The moon represents Torah, Hebrews 10:1.
1 For the law (Torah) having a shadow of good things to come, not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
There are the blessings for being Torah observant. Blessings will flow, because many are returning to Yehovah in righteousness. This is the way it should have always been.
The blessing will flow down from Mount Tziyyon. We will see the precious from the moon, month by month Yechezqel 47:12.
12 And by the river (nachal) upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed. It shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary. Aand the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.
Their will be nourishment for many during this time. As they make the journey to Mount Tziyyon for the first time.
Devarim 33:16
16 And for the precious (meged) of the land and fulness thereof, and the favor (ratzon) will of Him that dwelt in the bush. Let come upon the head of Yosef, and upon the top of the head of him separated (naziyr) from his brethren.
Bush is the Hebrew word סְנֶה seneh (H5572). It is in the Bible 6 times and is always translated bush. It is used 5 times in Shemos 3 to describe the burning bush and 1 time in Devarim 33. סְנֶה seneh (H5572) is first used 3 times in Shemos 3:2.
2 And the messenger (malak) of Yehovah appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush (seneh). And he looked, and, behold, the bush (seneh) burned with fire, and the bush (seneh) not consumed.
This sight caught Moshe’s attention, Shemos 3:3.
3 And Moshe said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush (seneh) is not burnt.
We learn that this is not just any bush, Shemos 3:4.
4 And when Yehovah saw that he turned aside to see, Redeemer called to him out of the midst of the bush (seneh), and said, Moshe, Moshe. And he said, Here I.
It was Yehovah who called out of the burning bush to Moshe.
In Devarim 33:16, Moshe is telling us that all blessings are coming from the One that originally called out of the burning bush. This is just a tie back to Shemos 3 to remember that Yehovah is the one that delivers us from all our enemies. He will destroy all of the gods of the earth just as He did to those of Mitzrayim. He will deliver His people with great miracles and wonder. He will bless them with all the riches of those who formerly oppressed them.
The blessings are for two classes of people, the heads of Yosef and those that separate from their brethren. The heads of Yosef are the ones that will rule and reign in the Millennium.
In Devarim 33:16, separated is the Hebrew word נָזִיר naziyr (H5139). It is in the Bible 16 times. נָזִיר naziyr (H5139) is translated Nazarite 12 times, undressed 2 times and separate 2 times.
נָזִיר naziyr (H5139) is always used in reference to an individual that has separated themselves from others to serve the purposes of Yehovah. It is used 6 times in Bemidbar 6 to describe the individual that has taken the Nazarite wow.
Interestingly enough, נָזִיר naziyr (H5139) is first used in reference to Yosef. He had been separated from his brothers and his life was devoted to Yehovah. When confronted by Potiphar’s wife, he told her in Bereishis 39:8-9.
8 But he refused, and said to his master’s wife, Behold, my master knows (yada) not what with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand; 9 none greater in this house than I; neither has he kept back any thing from me but you, because you his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against Redeemer?
Yosef would not sin against God. This was a constant in Yosef’s life. That is why in Bereishis 39:21.
21 But Yehovah was with Yosef, and showed him mercy (chesed), and gave him favor (chen) in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
There was no indication that Yosef took a vow of the Nazarite, but his entire life was separated to serve Yehovah. Just as the One who would eventually be known as Messiah ben Yosef.
The blessings of Yosef described above come on those that have separated their lives and serve the greater purposes of Yehovah. These would be the ones that answer the High Calling of God in Yeshua Messiah, Philippians 3:13-14.
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended. But one thing, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth to those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Messiah Yeshua.
These will oversee the nations in the Restitution of All Things.
Devarim 33:17
17 His glory the firstling of His bull, and His horns the horns of auroch (reem). With them he shall push the people together to the ends of the land. They the myriads (ravavah) (ten thousands) of Ephraim, and they the thousands (elef) of Manasseh.
Bull refers to the priest class. The horns represent the power granted to those in the Priest Class of the future Millennium. These will bring together the people as one in Yehovah.
Exalted and Recompense
Exalted and Recompense
Devarim 33:18
18 And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out; and, Issachar, in your tents.
Many will come and rejoice in Yehovah. They will exalt Him for His goodness, mercy and long suffering. They will know that He has watched over mankind from the beginning. He never forgot His promises, Yeshayahu 54:7-8.
7 For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great mercies will I gather you. 8 In a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on you, says Yehovah your Redeemer (gaal).
As they go out, they will exalt Yehovah. When they are in their homes they exalt Yehovah. These will receive a recompense for their worship.
Devarim 33:19
19 They shall call the people to the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness. For they shall suck the abundance of the seas, and treasures hid in the sand.
These will come to the Mountain of Mikha 4:1-2.
1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, the mountain of the house of Yehovah shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow to it. 2 And many nations shall come, and say, come, and let us go up to the mountain of Yehovah, and to the house of the Redeemer of Yaaqov; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths. For Torah shall go forth of Tziyyon, and the word of Yehovah from Yerushalayim.
As people flow to the Mount Tziyyon, they will learn the ways of Yehovah. They too will offer sacrifices of righteousness. They will exalt His greatness and love.
The question is where do these people come from. They come from the seas. These are the seas that the Harlot formerly sat upon, Revelation 17:15.
15 And he said to me, The waters which you saw, where the whore sits, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
The Harlot no longer controls the seas. They have been dried up, Yirmeyahu 51:36-37. These will be gathered into the nets.
36 Therefore thus says Yehovah; Behold, I will plead your cause, and take vengeance for you; and I will dry up her sea, and make her springs dry. 37 And Bavel shall become heaps, a dwelling place for dragons, an astonishment, and a hissing, without an inhabitant.
Those who do the work in the Millennium will draw these out.
There will also be those that come out of the sand. These are believers that never made the full Journey to Mount Tziyyon in this lifetime, but they will in the future.
Troop, Great Multitude
Troop, Great Multitude
Devarim 33:20
20 And of Gad he said, Blessed he that enlarges Gad. He dwelleth as a lion, and tears the arm (zeroa) with the top of the head (qodqod).
Gad is a troop that overcomes the opposition. They will grow in numbers. These are added to the great multitude. These will wash their clothing as their righteousness grows, Revelation 7:14.
14 And I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
These come out of the Resurrection of the Just and Unjust. They will find their salvation in what they do in the Millennium. Unlike believers today, they obtain salvation though serving Yehovah’s purposes and plans in the Restitution of All things.
Gad will destroy the former strong hold that Satan had over these people. The strongholds will be consumed in the Millenium.
Devarim 33:21
21 And he provided the first part for himself, because there, a portion of the lawgiver, seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of Yehovah, and his judgments with Yisrael.
These will destroy the former heads they followed and submit to the new Head Yeshua. Just as in 1 Melakhim 18:38-40.
38 Then the fire of Yehovah fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that in the trench. 39 And when all the people saw, they fell on their faces. And they said, Yehovah, He the Redeemer; Yehovah, He the Redeemer. 40 And Eliyyahu said to them, Take the prophets of Baal; let no man of them escape. And they took them and Eliyyahu brought them down to the brook Qiyshon, and slew them there.
These will walk in the righteousness of Torah and the Voice of Yehovah.
Righteous Judgments
Righteous Judgments
Devarim 33:22
22 And of Dan he said, Dan a lion’s whelp. He shall leap from Bashan.
In those days, judgement will redeem the people in Yeshayahu 1:27.
27 Tziyyon shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
This happens as the Redeemer comes for them, Romans 11:26-27.
26 And so all Yisrael shall be saved. As it is written, There shall come out of Tziyyon the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Yaaqov. 27 For this My covenant to them, when I shall take away their sins.
It comes from Bashan, Tehilla 68:21-23.
21 But Redeemer shall wound the head of His enemies, the hairy scalp (qodqod) of such an one as goes on still in his trespasses. 22 The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring again from the depths of the sea. 23 That your foot may be dipped in the blood of enemies, the tongue of your dogs in the same.
Dan that resides along the sea. He will free the people with righteousness and power.
Wrestled with Themselves
Wrestled with Themselves
Devarim 33:23
23 And of Naftali he said, Naftali, satisfied with favor, and full with the blessing of Yehovah. Possess you the west and the south.
Naftali represents those who wrestled out their salvation, Philippians 2:12.
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
These are the ones that fight against those things that work against them. They overcome the struggle to follow after Yehovah in righteousness. Just as Yaaqov did in Bereishis 32:24-28.
24 And Yaaqov was left alone; and there wrestled a Man with him until the breaking of the day. 25 And when He saw that He prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Yaaqov’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with Him. 26 And He said, Let me go, for the day breaks. And he said, I will not let You go, except You bless me. 27 And He said to him, What your name? And he said, Yaaqov. 28 And he said, Your name shall be called no more Yaaqov, but Yisrael. For as a prince have you power with Redeemer and with men, and have prevailed.
If we are footstep followers of Yehovah, we too can overcome this world to live victoriously in His Kingdom.
These are those that came from the west, the sea and the south, those lost in their sins. They wrestled and overcame. They were able to achieve salvation. They will be favored and full of blessings.
Happy Blessed
Happy Blessed
Devarim 33:24
24 And of Asher he said, Asher blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.
In the days in the future, they will bring forth an increase in the numbers, similar to Tehilla 127:3-5.
3 Lo, children a heritage of Yehovah. The fruit of the womb reward. 4 As arrows in the hand of a mighty man; so children of the youth. 5 Happy the man that has his quiver full of them. They shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
These will come through those that have walked in Yehovah’s ways. They will be birthed in the spirit of Yehovah, His Oil.
Devarim 33:25
25 Your door bolt (manal) iron and copper (nechoshes); and as your days, your strength.
No one will be able to pass through their doors unless they allow it. Gates will be secure.
These are similar to the sons of Qorach, who control the Temple gates. These are the more mature who serve Yehovah. They are happy in their blessings from Yehovah Who favors them.
Redeemer of Yeshurun
Redeemer of Yeshurun
Devarim 33:26
26 None like to the Redeemer of Yeshurun, rides upon the heaven in your help, and in His excellency on the cloud (sachaq).
In the final days of the Millenium, the inhabitants of the world will know and praise Yehovah in the heavens. They will know and experience His just and merciful compassion for His creation.
Devarim 33:27
27 The east (qedem) Redeemer refuge, and underneath the everlasting arms (zeroa). And He shall thrust out the enemy from before you; and shall say, Destroy.
Yehovah will be a refuge of righteousness for His people. He will be their strong tower. He will remove the enemies from the earth as we enter into eternity. Those who refuse to bow the knee will perish eternally.
Devarim 33:28
28 Yisrael then shall dwell in safety alone. The eye (ayin) of Yaaqov upon a land of grain (dagan) and wine; also (af) His heavens shall drop down dew.
Only the nation of Yisrael will exist in the end. We will be one people with a common lineage and a common set of values. We will receive the supernatural blessings of Yehovah.
Devarim 33:29
29 Happy you, Yisrael. Who like to you, people saved by Yehovah, the shield of your help, and who the sword of your excellency. And our enemies shall be found liars to you; and you shall tread upon their high places.
As we go into eternity all the high places will be destroyed. False and hypocritical worship will vanish. Only Yehovah and His word will live on into eternity. These will be our protection and flourishing into Eternity.
