Return of the Exiles
Ezra 2 and Nechemya 7 provide a count of the numbers that returned from the first Exile. These differ on various names and listing. The first table with those that returned with Zerubbavel, as noted in the first table. The second table lists the various families and the count of those that returned. However, it should be noted that Ezra 2:64 and Nehemiah 7:66 state that the whole congregation totaled 42,360.
