ἄγγελος aggelos (G0032) angel, messenger
Hebrews 13:2
2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers. For thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Angels comes from the Greek word ἄγγελος aggelos (G0032). It is in the Bible 186 times. ἄγγελος aggelos (G0032) is translated angel 179 times and messenger 7 times. ἄγγελος aggelos (G0032) refers to someone sent over a great distance by an individual or by a community in order to communicate a message. Many times, it is God sending the messenger. It can be a human or angelic. Even Satan can send a messenger. Too often the assumption is that it is angelic, when it is actually a human.
As such, Hebrews 13:2 should have been translated:
2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers. For thereby some have entertained messengers unawares.
