Revelation 21:21

²¹ And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

Several comes from the Greek word heis (G1520).  It is in the Bible 271 times.  It is translated one 229 times, a 9 times, other 6 times, some 6 times, not translated 4 times and a miscellaneous word 17 times.  It means one in contrast to many.  As such Revelation 21:21 should have been translated:

²¹ And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every (or each) one gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
